Bob recommends taking time each day to adjust your paradigm. But really, that needs to be quality time. Are you going to be able to get through to your subconscious mind if your conscious mind is all contorted with stressing about money or weight, analyzing your budget or trying to deal with some other problem?
When you are stressing or analyzing, if someone hooked you up to an EEG — a machine that measures brain wave speed — it would probably show you in a beta brain wave state, where your intellect is busy, busy. Think how different that is from deep sleep. That’s when your brain waves have slowed down to the delta brain wave state. There are also brain wave states between beta and delta.
